GENERAL QUESTIONS ABOUT DRIVING LESSONS

Everything you want to know before starting driving lessons with Driving School BAAS Amsterdam. Click on a question to see the answer.

Yes. At Driving School BAAS Amsterdam, we do not have long waiting times and you can usually start your driving course quickly.

You can take your theory test from the age of 16. From 16.5, you can start driving lessons and take an interim driving test. From the age of 17, you can take your practical driving test.

Yes. A trial driving lesson is a great way to get to know the car and your driving instructor. The trial lesson is completely non-binding and you are under no obligation to continue.

A trial driving lesson at Driving School BAAS lasts 90 minutes. This gives us enough time to get to know you and assess your current driving ability.

We use an average of around 25 driving lessons. A quick learner may need around 20 lessons. If you already have driving experience or, for example, a scooter licence, you may need fewer lessons.

Yes. Driving School BAAS provides driving lessons throughout Amsterdam and the surrounding area, including Amsterdam Centre, North, South, East, West, New West and Southeast, as well as Amstelveen and Diemen.

Yes. If you live in Amsterdam or the surrounding area, we will pick you up from home and drop you off again after your driving lesson.

Yes. You can easily schedule your driving lessons in advance through our student app.

Yes. By scheduling your driving lessons in advance, you can reserve the same days and times as much as possible.

Yes. You can take several driving lessons per week, as long as there is enough availability in your driving instructor's schedule.

Yes. In principle, you will have a regular driving instructor. This allows you to get to know each other well and keeps continuity throughout your driving course.

If your driving instructor is ill or goes on holiday, we will arrange a replacement instructor so your driving lessons can continue.

Yes. If you and your driving instructor are not the right match, we will be happy to find another instructor who suits you better.

Yes. Our driving instructors also teach learners who are nervous, unsure or anxious about driving. We adapt the guidance and pace to you, so you can build confidence step by step.

Yes. You can flexibly schedule your driving lessons in advance at times that fit around school or work.

Yes. You can switch to Driving School BAAS. During your first driving lesson, we will assess your current level and continue your driving course from there.
