No. You can start driving lessons before you have passed your theory test. However, it is a good idea to start studying for your theory test during your driving course.

You can take the car theory test from the age of 16.

It is best to start at the beginning of your driving course. What you learn in theory will also help you understand the traffic situations you encounter during your driving lessons.

You can study with theory books, online learning materials, practice questions and practice tests. Driving School BAAS offers several ways to prepare for your theory test.

Your car theory certificate is valid for 1.5 years. You must pass your practical driving test within this period.

You can take the theory test again. Use your results to see which areas need extra attention and practise them thoroughly before taking the test again.

Yes. Traffic rules and traffic situations come up constantly during your driving lessons. Your driving instructor can explain anything that is not clear.
