This depends on the category of motorcycle licence you are applying for. Different ages and requirements apply to A1, A2 and A motorcycle licences.

Yes. During a trial lesson, you can experience riding a motorcycle and we will assess your current level. The trial lesson is completely non-binding and you are under no obligation to continue.

No. Even if you have never ridden a motorcycle before, you can start motorcycle lessons at Driving School BAAS. We build up your motorcycle training step by step.

No. A car driving licence is not required to start your motorcycle training. The theory requirements depend on your situation and the test you are going to take.

This depends on factors including your age and the type of motorcycle you want to ride. We will help you determine which motorcycle licence category applies to you.

You do not need to bring your own motorcycle clothing. Driving School BAAS provides the required motorcycle clothing and equipment for your motorcycle lesson.

You will start by learning how to operate and control the motorcycle. You will practise balance, steering, braking, slow-speed riding and safely performing different manoeuvres.

AVB stands for Algemene Voertuigbeheersing, or motorcycle vehicle control. During this practical test, you demonstrate that you can control the motorcycle while performing various exercises and manoeuvres.

AVD stands for Algemene Verkeersdeelneming, or motorcycle road riding. During this practical test, you ride on public roads and demonstrate that you can participate in traffic safely, independently and responsibly.

Yes. Before you can take the AVD practical test, you must first pass the AVB test. We guide you through your complete motorcycle training in the correct order.

This varies from learner to learner. Your experience, motorcycle control, traffic awareness, progress and how often you take lessons all play a role.

Yes. Depending on availability, you can take motorcycle lessons several times a week. Riding regularly helps you further develop your motorcycle control.

Yes. We build up your motorcycle training step by step and adapt the guidance and pace to your level.

Yes. Once you meet the requirements and are ready for the test, Driving School BAAS will arrange the required practical motorcycle tests with the CBR.

Yes. If you have not ridden for a while or want to rebuild your confidence, a motorcycle refresher lesson allows you to work specifically on motorcycle control and safe riding in traffic.
